PTE

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is a computer-based English language test for non-native English speakers who wish to study abroad. It gives a measure of a test taker's Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing abilities to aid educational institutions, professional and government organizations, and other organizations that demand a standard of academic English language proficiency for admission purposes.

The computer-based test focuses on everyday English rather than high-level English and assesses a student's ability to understand the language as spoken on a daily basis.

The multi-level grading system allows for a better evaluation of the student's English language proficiency.

It is approved by the Australian government for all visa applications and acknowledged by thousands of institutions in the UK, Australia, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland, including Harvard, Yale, and INSEAD.
